Description

A serious blend of Merlot 92% and Cabernet Franc 8% from the top 2021 vintage where the warm spring sped up the growing season and where the ensuing summer was mild with minimal rain days, giving ripe, concentrated fruit. A wine carrying all the hallmarks of Gimblett Gravels, deeply fruited with dark berries layered with complexity. A treat to beheld.

Smells

Charming blue and red fruits vaunt the bouquet, with subtle brioche notes and black liquorice underneath.

Tastes

A warming core with plush blue fruits drives immediate deliciousness, but the dense tannin structure and fresh acid ensure a rewarding future. Drinking now through 2028 and will make every BBQ better or serve with beef or lamb. The recommended serving temperature is 15-17 degrees.
