Elephant Hill Syrah 750ml

Elephant Hill is arguably New Zealand's #1 Syrah value, always rating among the finest in the country, and refreshingly accessible relative to its quality. 2020 shows all the gorgeous floral notes and peppery spicy characters, with a healthy dose of liquorice and dark fruits. Elephant Hill have outstanding vineyards on the Te Awanga Coast, Gimblett Gravels, and Bridge Pa Triangle, they have all bases covered, enabling them to make outstanding Syrah (it’s so with all their wines) like this. 2020 is the current release 5-years old and beautifully knitted together, it’s drinking superbly.

This Syrah blend was grown in our three vineyards, perfectly combining soft, ripe berry fruit & delicate spiced flavours, smooth texture with underlying structure, medium body & freshness. A refined & silky Hawke's Bay Syrah from an exceptional vintage. 

Handpicked Syrah was co-fermented with a small portion of Viognier to enhance aromatics and add further complexity. An extended time on les, building generous palate texture, with French oak aging for 22 months.
