A darker, edgier, smokier version of the famously balanced Johnnie Black. While Single Malts are the rockstars of Scotch, legendary blends like the Double Black are the sweet spot for shrewd buyers. ""Blended to break the rules, Double Black boasts an edgy confidence in flavour that separates it from its balanced relative, Johnnie Walker Black Label. It is not simply a darker version of Black Label, for it cannot be defined by colour alone. Nevertheless, the two blends are intrinsically linked. As any discriminating drinker can see, they share DNA - in their smoky nose, unmistakable spice and slight tones of dried fruit.

Tastes

Excellent weight on the palate with a creamy texture and a true malty core. Lashings of peat smoke, hints of wood smoke, salty butter, cereal grains and apple custard. The palate is long finishing with a sweetness, peppery spice and a cool smoke note. Style: Smoked and Peaty
