Description

Obar Lobhair or Aberlour means 'the mouth of the chattering burn' and refers to both a town and a famous distillery in the Speyside region of the Scottish Highlands. It is a popular stop on the A95, the gorgeous stone distillery sitting atop the Lour Burn where it joins the famous River Spey. Sherry casks are the hallmark of the house style, the spirit in this Double Cask Matured 12 year-old also seeing Traditional American oak, making for a particularly rich, soft and deliciously viscous experience.? No wonder this classy whisky is one of the top sellers in France and has won so many top gold medals.

Tastes

Flavors tend towards Oloroso sherry casks, with generous malty notes, chocolate orange, honey, dried fruits, caramel, milk chocolate and cereal, with butterscotch and ginger spice. A fabulously viscous texture, rich and soft with nutty and chary nuances on the finish.
Style: Cask and Barrel Aged.
